Community Church of Columbus - Celebrate Recovery

The Celebrate Recovery Day Group meets each Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Community Downtown, 522 7th Street. The meeting is a co-ed meeting for adults who are hoping to recover from addictions or harmful habits.

There is no need to register, interested individuals just need to show up! The meeting will be held at Community Downtown located at 522 7th Street, approximately one block north of the public library.

Celebrate Recovery also meets each Tuesday evening at 6:30 at Community Church of Columbus. For further information: 376-9478.

Addictions. Hurts. Habits. Hang-ups. We all have them, but for some of us the hurt runs too deep, is especially fresh, or just won't go away.

If that describes how you feel, Celebrate Recovery may be right for you.

The purposes of CCC's "Celebrate Recovery" are to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving the problems in our lives.

Issues addressed can include alcohol, drugs, pornography, food addictions, gambling, and unhealthy relationships.

By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the program, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM at Community Church of Columbus. There are three specialized groups:

Men's Addictions
Women's Addictions
Concerned Women (Co-dependency)

Childcare is provided.

CCC also provides Celebrate Recovery Jail Ministry for men Thursday's, at the Bartholomew County Jail. Leaders of CR Inside (Men) are Mickey Ely, Larry Bogard, Bill Hasch and Greg Peele.

CR Inside Women is currently meeting on Monday mornings at the Bartholomew County Jail. Leaders are Debbie Brock, Lisa Brinley, Ronaca Guffey, Michelle Hornback and Jenny Johnson.
