QUILTS OF VALOR |
 |
Quilts of Valor are quilts made to honor and bring comfort to any service person returning from duty in Iraq or Afghanistan who has been wounded, emotionally or physically, by the war. Perhaps you know someone who has returned from one of these conflicts, who is suffering in body or soul because of his or her service, whether in or outside of combat. That person deserves to receive a Quilt of Valor.
Professionals who work with veterans tell us that they have seen healing accomplished with the gift of these quilts. Just recently, a woman helping with a presentation of our Quilts of Valor at the VA in Marion, IN said a recipient told her that his quilt meant more to him than any medal he had received. Our letter of thanks and encouragement that accompanies our Quilts of Valor reminds recipients that they can ask God to wrap His love around them like a warm quilt.
We would like to request your assistance in offering this assurance to more of our nation’s wounded heroes. If you know of someone who deserves a Quilt of Valor, please contact us. We are happy to mail quilts out of state. Locally, we can arrange a ceremony of presentation, or if the recipient would prefer, we can arrange for a family member or friend to receive the quilt and present it privately.
We know that the numbers of those who have served and been wounded or traumatized are very high. Our desire is that every one of these people would receive a Quilt of Valor no matter the nature or severity of their injury. Please help us in reaching out with God’s love to these folks who have served our nation.
If you know of someone who should receive a quilt, or you would like more information about our efforts, contact Kathy Fruhner at 375-1760, or email kathypr3122@sbcglobal.net.
