Following the mission of the church: TO KNOW CHRIST AND TO MAKE HIM KNOWN, Truth Alive will equip children to study, they will study to grow and will grow to worship. Truth Alive at work will equip our children to share, they will share to reach, then reach to serve those in their home, community and world. As the great commission is given in Matthew 28:19, 20 states: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything, I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." The children learn to live the Biblical model through lessons in small groups, then take what they've learned to share with and reach their families, their friends and the community.
Truth Alive is available to children ages birth to 6th grade during both services. Parents are invited to become small group leaders or team leaders for their child's grade level so that they can serve throughout the year on that team. Serving on a team gives flexibility and allows volunteers to time to join with other adults in Bible study.
Truth Alive 1 serves children who are infants through 36 months in our nursery area. Children are cared for and taught simple lessons by leaders and helpers who assist the lead teacher in each of the four rooms in this area. The yellow flag in the hall is the location of room 201 for infants. The green flag designates room 207 which is for toddlers up to 24 months. The red flag is the location of the twos group in room 403. Lastly the orange flag is at room 4-5 which is for new threes that have been promoted from the twos room at the end of the quarter their birthday was in. More info
Truth Alive 2 serves children who are in the preschool years from age 3 through kindergarten. Children in this age group have been intentionally put into small groups in their classrooms as well. They have worship along with their large group/small group teaching. Activity stations, visuals, application and take home sheets are components of their Bible learning. The curriculum is child targeted, relevant, and helps provide an emotionally, physically and spiritually safe environment for children. The purple flag in the hall is the location of room 409 for three year olds. The blue flag designates room 415 which is for 4 year olds. Finally the pink flag located at room 412 is for kindergarten age youngsters. We place children in this age group based on the school corporation cut off date of August 1st of the school year.
Truth Alive 3 serves children who are in primary grade school including 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. This group meets in room 416. During the 9am service, they have the opportunity to participate in Bible Skills, Drills and Thrills. During second service at 10:30am the format is called "5-G Challenge". Children will "do life with God in the picture" during the second hour. It will serve to reinforce some of the Bible skills, but will focus more upon the relevance and application of God's Word. This service helps our children become growing followers of Christ with these 5 G's: Grace-Growth-Group-Gifts-Good stewardship.
Truth Alive 4 serves children who are in intermediate grade school including 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. This group meets in room 316. During the 9am service they have the opportunity to participate in Bible Skills, Drills and Thrills. During second service, the curriculum changes to "5-G Impact". Children will "do life with God in the picture" during the second session at 10:30. It will serve to reinforce some of the Bible skills, but will focus more upon the relevance and application of God's Word. They will learn to love The Bible and want to be a part of a small community, committed to discovering and using their gifts within the church as they learn. They will meet the challenges of their generation with their devotion for Christ and be leaders for the Kingdom.
